Zimmermann-Porsche on the top in the record heat wave
"It was not easy today," said driver Claudius Karch. Especially oil and water temperature reached absolut peak values, so the electronic reduced maximum speed every now and then not to risk any failure of the engine. "The pressure from behind was absolutely tremendous," said Karch. The brakes withstand the heat, and while some competitors had to slow down with overheated brakes, the Zimmermann Porsche keeps ahead.
